The always-popular Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is only 14 miles from Baldy Shores Kayaking, and offers the wild beauty of the Lake Superior shoreline, with breathtaking sandstone cliffs, beaches, dunes, waterfalls, and deep, untouched surrounding forest lands.
Closer to Baldy Shores Kayaking, you may enjoy the Bruno's Run Trail, a gorgeous 9-mile nature hike winding through rolling hills, lakes, streams, overlooks, and valleys teeming with plants and wildlife.
Nearer the Manistique area, you'll find the Pine Marten Run Trail, a 26-mile system of five shorter loops that explore the beautiful Indian River, and numerous nearby lakes.
